Ah, well, usually I consider flame wars thoroughly and entirely pointless, but every once in awhile they prove to have some use. What happened on Gaia? I missed your comment on the hentai thing, probably because it was pushed to the second page, but whatever. It's done and gone. ...Yeah, wow, that is astoundingly brown. The hint of puke green doesn't help much, either; sorry ^^' But at least it's a nice piece of lineart. <3's for the sideburns. Kenshin's cute

I won't post on the forums on Gaia anymore because of this, but someone got me into an argument in my own thread about my art, and it went on for awhile and then they turned around and called me an idiot about something, they totally burned me and made it look like I had made an a$$ out of myself and then just left. So I don't post anymore, the people just suck on there anyway, they're either complete jacka$$es or 12 year olds that are either totally jaded, or totally naive. His element is earth so he's suppose to have a lot of brown on him. Oekaki I have one of Aoshi going, but I'm taking my sweet time on it.

Lovely. Yeah, I suppose the community on Gaia is a little... young. There are a few really good artists there, though. Every once in awhile. Lot of good oekaki-ers
XD omfg. The fishbone. I almost forgot about it!

I had like 4 or 5 hours in that pic too....
I haven't been drawing a lot lately, but I'm being forced to draw in a sketch book for one of my art classes, so if I can pry myself away from my new Harvest Moon game long enough to scan stuff, it'll show up here.

Actually, I'm in the same boat. I have a bunch of sketches I've been forced to do for art classes that I may or may not scan and post here, but my rate of anime-related drawing has plummeted. The only things I'drawn lately are a sketch of Renji, a half-finished scribble of Arra, and two pokemon for no good reason (I mangled aerodactyl, too ^^)

I stopped using sketchbooks 2 years ago though, because I don't like using them, so this is just an annoyance. I'm still to lazy to scan stuff, so just have some cruddy oekaki instead...

Myeh... not too sure about the second one, he's very.... square. Not in the square-jawed sense, although that's also true. Kind of hard to explain what I mean.
Like the pose on the first one. ...Redheaded Being has just dubbed the sword he has "Cloud's sword's wife."
I ask not. Not about Cloud's sword, I mean the wife part.
I'm just gonna go with it.

I was trying out something, so I didn't really care too much about it. He has a strong jaw anyway, but I can say that if I had drawn his nose better, the pic would have been better. I like the eyes though. I'm just not going to ask... New oekaki, since the whole fiasco on Neodragon on the 13th, I lost a really good pic during that and lost even more motivation than school had already killed, I haven't been doing a lot, but I wanted to try something new, so I've been getting better at that. first try second third The last one came out really good, although through the influence of Rurouni Kenshin, I almost made it into Enishi... I actually did something semi serious and I wish I could have smudged it, but the hair looked so good that I just couldn't. www.deviantart.com/deviation/41541440/I feel a little stupid, as I had my other computer on to print something and totally forgot to scan stuff....dang it all.....

Like the perspective on the third one. You're right, he does look very much like Enishi ^^
I actually would have liked to see a smudged version of the last piece; I think it would look interesting.

I shouldn't have read almost the entire Enishi saga in one sitting, it just screwed with me. On the other hand, the New Edition of Rurouni Kenshin is nice. I would've liked to smudge it, but it'd be a lot of work and then it'd look off since the hair wouldn't be smudged, it's too detailed to smudge. I might bother to do it, but I've said that before and it never happens. Oekaki 'What do you do, when you're forced to fight yourself in the past? Do you lay down and allow your past pride to see it's downfall, or do you stand for your belief even if it means never standing again?'

That's a really neat composition - not sure I like the red and orange lines (are they movement lines, or some sort of energy/attack/whatever thing?)
You can also barely see your signature, what with the bright, pale pink on bright gray and all...

A little here and little there, and the lines are actually suppose to be red and a golden yellow, if they look orange orange then it might prove my worries about the colors on my laptop. Which brings me to my new pic. Oekaki Original You already saw it on NDA, but if any of the following apply to it, please tell me, maybe get other people on other computers to check it out too. 'I'd really appreciate if anyone saw this to tell me how the colors look to them on their computer screen. Whether or not the lineart is visible everywhere, specifically in the very center where it's darkest, whether you can actually see each individual layer of color on the main figure and whether all the places where there's blood appear to be red or at least very dark red. I ask because I'm concerned about the coloring on my laptop and whether what I see on my screen is what other people see on their screens. There shouldn't be a brownish orange tint to the picture and the bandage should be a very clear white in the center. Thank you for any and all comments.' 'The ground actually is made up of browns and oranges, but I need to know if everything in the picture is when it's not suppose to be. You should be able to see the individual layers of coloring that I did and not just 2, the lightest and then it just goes to a very dark gray that you can't see the lineart through, all the blood on the pic should be very clear as red, so on the face, on the guy he's carrying, all red, not a medium brown, it should stick out enough for anyone to notice and not just blend into the character so much that it barely looks like it's there. The skin that's visible should be a flesh color, except for the edges that have been outlined with a yellow orange color, they should not appear yellowish in any way. There might be some other color differences other than these, but the main ones are not being able to see the color layering and most of the blood either not showing up because it blends into something when it's not or it not seeming red enough. Again, you should be able to see the black penciled lineart everywhere, even if it's dark, if you look long enough, you should be able to see it, and my signature should be visible in the bottom left hand corner as a light, light pink color. Please tell me if anything you see on your screen runs like this. If people see more differences than just what I see and what I'm concerned with then I'll chalk it up to color differences in computers and a really cruddy printer, but if everybody sees it this way and I see the real thing, then there's something wrong with the colors on my laptop and I don't know how to fix it.' Other than that I have... KH2, it's suppose to be staight across, but it's too wide to fit... And... Original, he kinda looks like a girl... At the rate I'm going, I may never get to scanning my outside sketchbook....

I'm alive. Really. I just hope you haven't left.
I think I mentioned the thing with the first image you posted back on NDA, where I know you still are active (working on a piece there at the moment, actually). 'Sides, I guess it's been so long that it doesn't much matter. Are you still working on your laptop, or do you hae a desktop these days?
Those KH2 pictures do line up on my screen, I suppose it mostly depends on resolution or window size. I suppose I could offer more critique if I knew th characters, but the guy n the middle is cute.
I think it's the neck on the last guy that makes him look girly, but personally, he looks more like a really young boy to me.

Nope, still here. It's just that nothing but the spam forum has basically been alive and I don't care for that so eh. It's just so easy and fast to draw in oekaki, big stuff takes a long time to finish in photoshop, although, I finally fixed the lag problem I had with it so that makes things easier. I ran out of stuff to draw in oekaki though, so I've been taking requests. Still on a laptop, I doubt I'll bother to get a PC any time soon for various reasons. He is suppose to appear 12 so I guess it works. Unless school kills my motivation again, which is might. I'd update my anime room, but that's a lot of pictures I'd have to take. Plus I'm getting more stuff with Christmas money.

I don't blame you. The spam board isn't exactly my thing, either, and it's part of the reason I've been lazy about posting. That, plus academic whatnot and excesses of stupid assignments. Yeah, I can usually polish off a halfway-decent oekaki in under two and a half hours. A full PSP CG, though... yeah, not gonna happen anywhere near that fast. You're taking requests? Coolness. Mind if I ask for one? XD And I see you've been numbering all of your oekaki - that many of them, huh? Nevermind, that's a stupid question; I see how many of them there are. You've been busy o.0' I must say you win at life for drawing Zuko. Avatar is about the only good American-produced cartoon out there these days ^^ And what do you know, they needed an Asian-themed plotline and help from a bunch of martial arts masters to make it. I'm sure there'sa meaningful message in there, but I don't feel like finding it. I just scanned a few things out of my sketchbook, which I'll end up posting around here soon, but I'd love to see yours. Ah, Christmas money. May I ask what you bought with it? I used mine to get a Bleach sketchbook, Urahara plushie, most of Trinity Blood on DVD (and pre-ordered the books), and food for my fish. They were hungry fish, I tell you

About an hour for me, maybe a little more, the way I do line art takes a little while longer, but the outcome is nice. I just leave windows open so something in Wings may have a time like 27 hours or something on it. I'm not currently taking requests because I already have some, but I'll most likely be taking more when I finish the ones that I have, which could be tomorrow or a week from now depending on how lazy I am. But yeah. I number everything since it's too hard and lame to think up titles for every little insignificant thing, but I have been on Christmas break since the 6th or something and even then, I'm not exactly an 'A' student.
Avatar is seriously one of the best cartoons to watch, and one of the only ones to have a plot line and actually stick to it. It should get a medal just for doing that. Also, Zuko reminds me of my favorite original character of mine.
I'd have to scan like 100 things, which would just go on my to-do list and above it is clean out moving boxes from April, so we'll see how that goes. I have no room in this room.
I haven't actually gotten to buy what I want with it yet, what with most online Japanese stores closed for the holidays until next week and that the money has to show up on my credit card before I can actually use it. But, what I plan to buy is a very nice(and rather expensive) statue from the manga Berserk, the statue of Tohsaka Rin from Fate/Stay Night to go with the one of Archer that I have and I think the Omega Ultimania guide to Final Fantasy XII, then I have to see how much money I have left. Yen is hard to calculate sometimes.
You know I've been here over a year now.....

WHat can I say? I'm a snail . Plus, you probably get your lineart done faster with a tablet - I end up zooming in a half dozen times and putting in a little bit of the line at a time... but I can't leave the window open at risk of my assorted familty members messing wit hthe computer and losing my oekaki, so I save. That's why my animations have little spots in the coloring phase - I always mark down the palette so I don't lose the exact colors should I have to go back When you start taking requests again, can I put in one for Arra please? XD I'm personally fond of Sokka, just because he's an idiot in the loveable-comic-relief way, and Iroh... Zuko's a tie for third with Toph ^^ And Appa wins at life for being adorable Ah. Moving boxes. I still have some of those in my closet (tons in the basement, too), and I moved into this house three and a half years ago They never go away... Sounds interesting. I sort of always wanted to but myself some art statues (especially the s-CRY-ed series ones), but they're always so darn expensive. I've always been to lazy to calculate yen for myself; I just use an online currency converter It's astounding how time flies, I know. It seems like you just joined up a few months ago...

Yes, using a tablet basically cuts any workload in half, so something that takes 14 hours will only take around 7. But I do the exact same thing when I use I mouse, I use the pencil tool though since it's easier. Oekaki does have an eye dropper tool, but I don't know how you color anyway.
Iroh and Toph are just made of win. Sokka is an amazing idiot, but I don't get why so many girls go for him (in the show), he's not a very good flirt or very charming. If only they made Avatar toys in Japan, American toys just suck too much, imagine how much awesome it would be to have an Appa plushie.
Well there's like 10 boxes in what would be my closet if I hadn't needed the space and took the doors down and now there's a dresser and a shelf and like 300 Japanese magazines in there, but these are just sticking out into the room and I think one box is nothing but receipts and other small paperwork and such in it.
Yeah, some are really pricey, but most are at most 100, the Bleach ones were like what 60 to 75 or something, I can't remember anymore. Although they say that once you buy one, you'll want to buy more, and it's completely true so eh. Yeah, but yen prices fluctuate and then shipping can be tricky since it's based on weight.
