I doubt that, my mental age has always been really old, I apparently act older than my brother whose actually 38. That and 5 years ago I took a mental age test that said I was at least 35. While you can drink at any age, it's still illegal, if said adult is caught giving alcohol to a minor, they'll get arrested, not that police could really get to you in your own house anyway though. My mom said that she'd give me beer as long as I stayed in the house and I just stared at her. That also happened to my friend and I when we were at a Chili's one time, they asked if we wanted anything from the bar. I had actually finished like half the coloring when I realized it wasn't going to work, but I still didn't care enough to fix it, it already looked lame anyway. I've run out of ideas to draw now... This one's bloody www.deviantart.com/deviation/47815578/I actually finally got around to scanning my sketchbooks from school, over 100 pictures, now I get to arrange them into sketch dumps, yay......

The black bikini one just kills me dead (or, as I should say in netspeak, keels me ded). XD That a bathing suit or underwear? At first I thought a bathing suit, but then you posted another guy in briefs, so now I'm not sure.
Also, the gradient on the second one down is toally cool. Must have taken forever, too. Frankly, I think the last oekaki is a litle boring. But, sometimes ou just need to draw boring things, eh? At least, I often get that feeling (hence my series of pokemon doodles...)
The dA link's not really all that graphically bloody ('least not compared to what they show on some of the medical dramas these days), but wow, she looks pissed off...
Is it really illegal to do that on the west coast? Over here in CT, it's perfectly legal for a parent to hand their kid alcoholic beverages and let them drink. But then, it's aso legal for a parent to buy a kid a weapon and hand t to them. Several years ago, my father got me a bow out of the local KMart - they wouldn't le me buy it, even though it only had blunt-tipped arrows and a 15-lb. pull (I was like... 10 at the time), but they couldn't do anything about it once el padre paid, showed them ID, and handed it to me. A cop could havebeen standing right there andnothing would have happened - same deal if he had sat down at a restaurant, ordered a beer, and once it was served, picked it up and handed it to me. I guess that's just sort of how things work here.
Currently working on he Oekaki-From-Hell, i.e. a contest entry, i.e. I'm puttingin more detail than I'd normally care to. In other my-life-related news, I ordered a tablet ^^ It's probably going to take a few weeks to show up, at least, though, because I ordered it at a student discount price and they av to confirm my proof of ID as a student (which, at the rate my school seems to function... might not happen in the next millenium).

Lets just call it a speedo, cloth underwear wouldn't have a light glare on it anyway. Well it's just a head, if you go and find the animation for it you'll see that I was doing something else but gave up and just spit that out. Yeah, but there's more than just some dripping down so whatever. She coughed up a lot of blood directly into the oxygen mask and you know that just doesn't taste good. I don't know about Oregon, but in California it is, although I don't know the specifics of the law, it might be fine for a parent and the law might just pertain to random people buying things for minors. I don't think bows matter too much, and they wouldn't let you buy it anyway, a gun might be different though. They're pretty anal out here so it wouldn't surprise me. California is full of blow hards that just want to bitch about things so they make laws about it. Oregon's just retarded though. Have fun learning how to use a tablet, it takes awhile. I just got manga studio on here and it's a pain to use, there's like 500 different things to use in it and it's all confusing. I don't know what to say about these... Also, another T-shirt design... www.deviantart.com/deviation/48444493/And then I'll pimp this and be done... www.cafepress.com/sinleviathan

Speedo. Right. That's the word I was looking for ^^ Actually, I had a speedo a little bit like that once, except there was a blue border and (thankfully) a top half. Too lazy to look up animations right now, but I know the feeling. I end up doing that with half of everything I draw -.-' Yes, I suppose that wouldn't taste good. I've coughed up blood before, it ain't fun. I've heard mixed things about Manga Studio. It any good in your opinion? California will be California. I'm personally not terribly fond of their politics myself, and I live on the other side of the country. Nice T-Shirt design ^^ I certainly don't mind the pimping. I do like the idea of a widescreen view on oekaki, makes it look very animated.

I've actually never heard anything bad about it. I just think it's confusing because there's a lot to do in it. But tutorials helped and now it's easier. I like it anyway, the tools really look like what they are, i.e. the pencil tool literally looks like your using a #2 pencil and the pen tool really looks like pen and ink, except that you can stoke up with it and it won't totally break the pen. The controls, with a tablet anyway, are amazingly responsive. The pressure sensitivity actually surprised me when I first used it. And then there's a tool that makes panels for you, and that's just win. The animated thing was the whole point, I'm amazed at how much 2 black strips make it look like an anime. And pimp it I shall, hopefully I'll be able to pimp it at Fanime this year. This was just an idea I had...

I'm glad to hear that it works. I was wondering about that too. I've been trying to find a good pix of Sasuke Uchiha but I can't find one. I tried google but I didn't really find anything good. -_- I tried drawing the stick figure in order to make a person but that failed completely. I do have a stick figure wooden manikin but I never use it. Any help suggestions? btw how do put pix on the web site?

Huh. I've heard i'ts complex and/or confusing, or at least those're most of the negative complaints. Not really on my priority list of things to try out, though. Manga drawing isn't my thing, really. Interesting that they reproduced the tools so well digitally, though. I usually think of digital art as a method of doing things regular media won't necessarily do (layers are lifesavers!).
I've found convention pimping to be highly unproductive, personally. I must hand out like 600 copies of the URL to these Forums at every CTCon, and look at all the visitors we get here -.-' Totally. I have to liek hound people just to get them to show up. o.0'
I really like the perspective on the party picture, though. I meant to say that before I went on vacation, but we all know I am the worst procrastinator on Earth.
Haru... try practicing. A lot. Frequently. As much as possible. Whatever. To get pictures on here, you have to upload them someplace like Photobucket (http://photobucket.com), then copy the IMG code an paste it here. It's pretty simple.

Basically yeah, but no more than Painter or Photoshop, but I have a site with tutorials on it and that helped a lot. You only get good at a program by using it though. Seeing as how I want to do manga and comics as a profession and seeing as how I totally suck at the pen and ink medium, it's definitely a program I should learn how to use. I love layers, I remember the first photoshop thing I ever did and it was a chapter cover from Bleach that I colored,(waaaaay back in the day), looking back, I have no idea how I did it without using any layers.... Well yes, but this is for stuff. Also, my friend and I are suppose to get a table at the artist alley thing at Fanime. So we'd be selling prints of our art and if I have fliers and pimpin' stuff in there, it might work different. This was started in Oekaki, but I had to finish it in Photoshop. It was also for Valentine's day, sort of.... Oekaki OMG, I actually did the sketch dumps, all my sketchbook work from my drawing class last fall. www.deviantart.com/deviation/49066073/www.deviantart.com/deviation/49066445/www.deviantart.com/deviation/49066628/

Yay, laziness. Yay, taking two weeks to respond. You... do a lot of random skecthbook stuff, don't you? Just looking at all that took forever; I can only imagine wha it took to draw it. Why do I get this moster roll-call vibe fro mthe second-to-last oekaki. It's like, "okay, ugly brown thing with ram skull, check. Next!" Really like the one-point perspective in the last one. Nicely executed, really. The third one up fro mthe bottom seems sort of lazily done. ot your usual quality of work, y'know? Yay, backwards-ordered comments.

Actually we had to keep a sketchbook, I normally don't because I don't like sketchbooks, I used to keep them, but I really didn't like to and now I do so much digitally that it doesn't matter. All that was done in a period of about two and a half months. I think I did the most out of the entire class though. Hey, be nice, Frank is a good and friendly demon, that's why he runs the front desk in hell's hospital. I was trying to do something with that one, but it didn't work. Oekaki A buff guy...

XD Well, I guess that's one way to fill a book. Be forced to. Ah, well. I almost don't mind having sketch assignments every now and then; keep me busy.
I realize by now this is so old it's a moot point, but I kept wondering about the motion lines on the first one in your last post. It always struck me as being too... white. I sort of feel that just the black lines over the BG would have been enough, y'know?

XD The little Ed doodle is adorable, and it's cute how you stick your signature on his face like that.
Out of curiousity, why is everyone and their mother drawing Gaia Avi art? I totally cannot understand the point of it, although saying that, I'm probably going to be drawing some for someone in the coming week or so... I just don't understand why.
I'm thinking your class doodles are a lot more interesting than mine. Last thing I doodled was an ill-proportioned cartoon rooster and a fuzzy... long-legged....bird-critter of some sort.
Btw, I have to ask why you keep using the watercolor tool to scribble black shorts/bikinis/etc on your drawings of men. It makes it look more like you're censoring something (which technically, you are) than an actual piece of clothing. Is that the intent? Or is it just lazy? XD

Had to stick it somewhere, couldn't find a better place. I really wish I was better at chibis, they can be a big selling point....
Chalk it up to the younger crowd obsessing over something stupid I guess. The first one I did was a request, but the second one I was commissioned to do, so I got paid to draw it. Gaia avatar art has been around for awhile though, if I knew how to set up a mini-shop, I'd probably take commissions regularly as it is a way to make gold and thus quest. Which is all I do on there, I actually hate the people on that site.
Mostly anime people, maybe the occasional pose or wolf. I doodle a lot though, class is so frickin' boring. Two and a half hours drawing plane engines your mind just goes off.....
A little here, a little there. I only did it on those 2 pics and the first one was because I wanted to draw a butt, because I feel I could be better at drawing butts, but because it would probably cause an uproar on the board, despite butts still being in the the PG-13 range, I just filled it in with black. The other one is basically because I was too lazy to draw actual underwear on, although it's not like I drew anything in anyway, so it's really like it's censoring anything anyway. Also I don't use the watercolor tool, only the pen.

Mm. I can't draw chibis to save my life.
Nothing wrong with getting paid to draw. I've contemplated a mini-shop myself, but never actually did it. I prefer the lazy way to make gold: investment. I have a spare staff of the angels that I bought for like 12,000g a year ago; now they're selling for something like 700,000g. I'm not entirely sure why I bother, though. It's kinda stupid o0'
My mind is pretty much off from the minute I enter an educational facility to the minute I exit. Except for the art classes. I mostly learn by osmosis - all that sitting with my head buried in textbooks and such ^^'
Really? That's the pen tool? It looks too hazy around the edges; I just assumed it was watercolor.

That's how I make gold as well, though I'm a little screwed right now since I don't have anything good to sell. Around 200,000 actually, but damn that's lucky, I already sold everything of worth that I had. It is stupid, but it's fun, mindless, and repetitive, it's the same reason why I hoarded headgear in the MMORPG Ragnarok Online, I had a ton of headgear in my game, and nothing to do with it, it's not like I could wear every single one or anything. I stopped caring about school several years ago now, I keep going to college because I hope that I might take something away from it, but so far, nothing, particularly the art classes at the community college I do to now, are completely useless, not only have I barely learned anything worthwhile, but the way they teach it completely contradicts with how I draw which makes it hard to do things the "right" way in art. For the black areas, when you smudge the edges of things, it smudges in the white when there aren't any other colors around, the black areas are on a different layer so there's white everywhere. I usually will never use watercolor except for maybe a background. Oekaki The first ones are fan art from a Japanese trading card game and the other is obviously fan art from Naruto. I haven't bothered putting the new doodles together yet, and everything else I've been doing is for prints and I'm not going to release those until after Fanime. Except for that Phoenix Wright line art on Deviantart, but I might not have time to color that one.

Hey. Questions: 1. Where can you get Photoshop? 2. How do you draw a guy w/ curly hair in anime? btw, like your drawings. I've been so bored, i've found alot of KH images. (mostly of Sora and Roxas) I'm tired.

(mostly of Sora and Roxas) I'm tired. 1.Off of the internet most likely, you can either shell out the $300 or so on Adobe's site to get it officially, or pirate it. But I'm not going to tell you how to do that. 2.How curly? I don't really do curls, not my thing, so I don't have too much practice with it, but this is how I would do it. Really wavy and you want to get the basic all around shape in. And yes I did that picture in about 30 seconds just now. I'm relatively sleep deprived as I can't seem to go to bed before 4am and both my classes require me to be awake at 7am and 9am respectfully. And I don't have the spare money to buy KH2 Final Mix and the spoilers wandering around the internet are starting to kill me on the inside. I also might be selling some prints online....

Gaia is like, mind numbingly pointless and yet oddly, highly addictive. It's like the modern Neopets or something. Which makes me sort of wish I was them; they're probably rolling in dough at this point. I am now officially peeved, by the way. A few weeks ago, those staffs were going for 650,000g. I don't know why they dropped that much so quickly, but now I'm broke...er than I was. Curses. *eyeballs rest of inventory* I don't have anything else that's worth nearly that much... least, nothing that's not equipped. I still regret the angelic pendant thing; I bought one for 12,000g and sold it for about 35,000. Now they're worth over 600,000...
Gotta ask, is the random card game you're drawing fanart of by any chance Aquarian Age? The dude looks sort of like one of their Darklores...
I could be going out too far on a limb here (I'm famous for that), but I would be a little more open to whatever they're trying to teach you in college. Community colleges are notorious for their low standards, but they wouldn't hire teachers unless someone thought they were good at something. So while you're there, you might as well leech what you can off of them, whether you think it's worthwhile or not.
Good luck to you if you try and sell prints online. I still haven't managed to sell even one. XD I suppose I just fail at life like that.
