That's about the same size as my images, but I don't have much trouble with it.
I'd really like to get a tablet, too; I can't draw with a mouse. I do all of my inking by hand. It's also why I suck (and badly, too) at oekaki.

Tablets are awesome, they can cut work time practically in half once you get good with them, which can take awhile. Mine broke in December and I've been waiting since to get a new one, my birthday isn't until August but I should definitely get one then. I can draw with a mouse quite well, especially if I try, but I've had close to 3 years of practice now. I've been doing my inking by hand recently too, so the lines are a lot smoother on all the new stuff. But the most recent pic I have wasn't inked when I scanned it so it's still rather rough in areas. I could never get good at the program oekaki's use and I could never find a good site to really practice on either.

I know of a few good oekaki boards, though a lot of them require that you show some past oekaki work and let people join on a basis of skill. Needless to say, I'm not a member on any of them - I just like to look at the art. One of teh good ones that anyone can join, though, is neondragonart.com/oekaki/picture.cgi - there's a rather wide range of skill there; some of them are exceptionally good, while other people are just starting out, so it's a good place to get aquainted with oekaki programs. I still say it's difficult without a tablet - though I've never actually used a tablet, so I can't say that it's easier with one. I just know that I suck at it ^.^ Maybe I should ask for a tablet for my next birthday, too. Except that's not for months and months o.0

Yeah, tablets can be a bit tricky at first. It took me around 3 months to get good with one, but I think it helped that I was already experienced with a mouse. I draw almost completely different with a tablet than I do with a pencil on paper though. I think it took my friend longer to get used to a tablet, in fact I'm not sure if she's used to it even now, after like 6 months she got too busy with school to basically draw anything anymore.

I've heard that can be the case. Still, I could probably do a lot better with a tablet if I practiced - right now I'm rather frustrated because my CG skills don't really bring my pencil sketches to life, if that makes any sense.
Tablet pens have a very different grip than pencils, I know that without having used one (except once... in elementary school... way back when I was small and impressionable 0.o). It's only natural that you would draw differently.

I've never thought that the grip is different, it's just that tablet pens are thick and pencils aren't. And I've seen work by people who are very good on a computer with a tablet, but their pencil work is just terrible. And some random sketch work that's mostly old because I haven't done anything but play pokemon as of late, which, finally after 61 hours I've finally beaten Emerald, and I'm just happy about it. It's mostly half naked men and some fluff. Fate/Stay Night www.deviantart.com/deviation/35710529/Original www.deviantart.com/deviation/35710611/www.deviantart.com/deviation/35710697/I'll eventually finish some new stuff. I haven't been very motivated lately though.

Ah, lovely. Lots of naked men. I have but one thing to say: towels are your friends. The difference in thickness does change the grip, even if you don't notice it. That's exctly why you can see poor pencil artists with great tablet work and vice versa - they function differently. ... plus, tablets have an undo button I actually drew a lot of stuff at the Connecticon that I'll color and post eventually. First I have to go buy a new set of inking pens; I found an artist with a set that I really like - and they're easier to use than my micron pens. If anything, I have discovered that cons are an excellent motivator ^.^

For some reason, ^that piece bothers me. His head's very small and at an extremely awkward angle. And his torso seems a little too wide in the middlish area. Men may not be nearly as curvy as women, but that doesn't mean they don't have hips and waists. Probably not one of your better pieces, sorry to say.

The pic doesn't look very good in color, I may color it again sometime. I realized when I was almost finished that the head looked small. And I could argue about how there are different muscular bodies not just wide on top, but everything from skinny toned to chubby buff, but I have more important things to do, like figure out how to get a complete pokedex without cheating.

Argue all you want, that's what a forum is for (I think...). I still hold that you can't just draw hipless, waistless people, though ^.^ Even if they are extremely buff. I'm not saying they have to be super-extra-curvy, just that they need hips.
The easiest way to get a complete Pokedex is to invest a lot of time, effort, and be in possession of two games and a gameboy link cable. I could have actually almost completed mine (with the exception of Celebi and possibly Dunsparse) by now if it weren't for the fact that I can't figure out where my cable is. Right now I have 235/251...
Considering that I currently have 920+ hours on the game, it's actually pretty sad.

Or maybe it's just the angle the pic is at. That's exactly how I completed the first pokedex of 151 in the first red game. But since the pokedex is now a whopping 386 pokemon large, it's a bit more difficult. If I had ruby, sapphire, and leaf green, on top of the emerald and fire red that I already have, I should be able to get all but 7 pokemon I think, assuming that all of the gold/silver/crystal are accessible in the games. I would also need another GBA since I found out that a DS can't link to a GBA, and a GBA link cable, I only have gameboy ones. The only ones I can't get are the event rares, or the rares that can't only be obtained with certain items that you can only get at pokemon events in Japan. Those would be, Mew, Celebi, Ho-oh, Lugia, Jirachi, Deoxys, and the other Latios. But even then, I'm looking at around 130 bucks worth of stuff to buy just to get an almost complete pokedex. Original www.deviantart.com/deviation/36529134/www.deviantart.com/deviation/36529360/A sketch dump and yet another attempt at pixel art. I want my new tablet already......

You really like drawing buff dudes, don't you? And you still haven't drawn anything shoujo-ey ^.^
I like the wolf in the sketch thing; he's cute. The pixel art is... well, pixel art. It's hard to pixel something that impresses me, sorry. Although, at least your pixel art doesn't look all goofy-lopsided like mine. ^.^'
*Is still ignoring the existence of all pokemon after Celebi* Yes, well, that may be true, but the only real issue is getting the rare ones, right? I do sometimes forget that games after Ruby/Sapphire, inclusive, can't trade with the older games. For a minute I was wondering what was so hard about getting ahold of a Ho-oh. I have like twelve of them o.0 Did you get Mew in red through the glitch, or at an event?
Considering I'm denying their existence, Latios and Latias are actually kind of cute.
By the way, potentially silly question, but have they added any new pokemon types since the addition of dark & steel in GS? Or are they still operating with 17 types?

A lot of my original characters are well toned at least, but I do have skinny men, I just don't prefer them. I'm also better at drawing buff men.
I haven't been drawing a lot lately, and haven't even been able to draw women as of late. I've tried and it wasn't fun. And now I can't think of anything decent to draw.
Yeah, but the rares need items to get to the islands that they're on. I don't know for sure, but I heard maybe that the item to get Ho-oh and Lugia may be available at the Nintendo store in New York, but I can't confirm that. Also Celebi may or may not have been available at Pokemon events and tournaments that were around the country. I know nothing about how to get Jirachi or Deoxys. The item to get Mew is only available in Japan as far as I know. And from what I heard the item to get to one of the Latios's was released in a Nintendo power when ruby/sapphire came out. While in emerald, you can get one of the Latios without an item, to get the other one in emerald, you need to mix records with a ruby/sapphire game that has the item to get to it. Other than that, I need about 130 bucks to get the other games and another GBA, so unless my relatives actually come through on my birthday, I have no idea where I'm going to get 130 extra dollars.
I almost want to say that I got Mew by catching the other 150, but I'm not sure I really did anymore, and I've never been to a Pokemon event. I would have had to get Mew through one of the many glitches in the original red game, my game also had the missingo thing, because I don't have a gameboy gameshark, so I couldn't have cheated in the game.
Latios and Latias are cute and make adorable plushies. Eventually, I hope to buy them, as well as a bunch of others, like this one of Umbreon that makes me laugh every time I see it. The thing looks so possessed that it's funny.
There are still only 17 types, but apparently in the new Diamond/Pearl games, there will be new type combinations, or something.

I have a thing for pretty-looking, vaguely faminine, scrawny guys ^.^ Which is probably why I end up drawing them a lot. (Actually, considering Kazuma is my favorite bishie of all time, the above statement is sort of odd. But it's true).
Draw a bird. That's what I do when I can't think of anything to draw.
Are the rares sort of like the Ranbow and Silver Wings that you need in G/S/C to get to Lugia and Ho-oh? The only good way I can think of to get ahold of $130 is to get a good job. Beyond that... have extra birthday parties??
There's a glitch in the R/B/Y games where you can catch a level 8 Mew if you follow a certain sequence of events. But you can't do it if you've already fought certain trainers.
I always wanted to see a picture of Missingno. What's it look like?
I should totally draw Latios and Latias, even though they don't exist to me ^.^ But then, my pokemon doodle request list still has several pokemon on it, so I should probably get those out of the way first.
It's good to know they haven't tried adding six hundred stupid new types. That would have irked me. They're making new games? Oh, dear.

Well it can come and go. Over the years I have slowly progressed into the realm of buff macho man. In my early years all my bishies were skinny and or scrawny, most with long hair. But for me, I started going the other way when the scrawny men started to be almost more like flat-chested girls then just really skinny guys. Or maybe my friends just turned me off to it by obsessing over yaoi too much.
The rares each live on different islands, and you need a special ferry ticket to get to each island. You get said ticket at Nintendo events, so yes it is like those items. Although, I found out that Ho-oh and Lugia are obtainable through Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD respectively.
There's a few glitches in the first games, and I still want to say that Mew is obtainable by getting the first 150, but I don't know. I might have used the S.S. Anne/ Surf glitch to get it, or maybe Mewtwo.
The missingo just looks like the ghost that's in lavender tower before you identify it as a Marowak. But the name says Missingo and there's some glitchy wording.
I don't know how many they could add, you do run out of elements after awhile. And yes, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl are due out in Japan sometime later this year, maybe September, but I forget. They actually look pretty good, they brought back the night and day thing from G/S/C.

Yaoi does not interest me. Actually, pr0n in general is irksome. But that doesn't change the fact that most of my dudes look like women ^.^ I think they're prettier that way. Don't get me wrong, I like strong guys, I just don't like them to look like bodybuilders. There's a point where muscles can go too far.
I know what Pokemon COlloseum is, but what the heck's Pokemon XD? And while I'm at it, how does the SS Anne glitch work? I've heard of it, but not seen it in use. I used the Lavender Town glitch to get my Mew.
I dunno, They have a dark element, so it'd make sense to have a light, too. Beyond that... I dunno.

Yaoi isn't even particularly interesting and I never really got into it. But at least half the people I know got really heavily into it around our sophomore year, which was I think 5 years ago, but I never got why it was so great. I'm not that into pretty, at all anymore, I mean I like it, but I'm not too into it. It's good to a point and then it just gets boring. And I am aware of muscles taken too far, I try not yo take it there, but sometimes, it just fits the character. It's kind of like in Dragonball, all the men are buff in that because they train and fight, and the ones that aren't are either little kids or not human.
Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, its the gamecube game with shadow Lugia in it, it's an RPG too. The S.S. Anne is more of something that you can do than a glitch, but you can find rare pokemon and I think a Mewtwo if you do it. When you get to Vermilion City and get the ticket, instead of going on the boat right away, take diglett's cave back to Viridian and get the cut HM, the go to Cerulean city and take the back way to Lavender town and then to Fuchsia City, get the surf HM, and then the badge to use it outside of battle, there's a lot of time consuming leveling to do this, then go back to Vermilion and go out to the S.S. Anne, after your ticket is checked, the screen'll change and you'll be on the pier right in front of the boat, you would normally just enter it, but since you can surf, just surf of one of the sides and roam around to find pokemon, that's about it.
They should make a light element, that'd be cool....
