Ah, okay, I got sick last week, and that wasn't fun, throwing up sucks, so I haven't really been at my computer until, well, right now actually. So I was originally going to post this last week, and it's still all line art because I decided to draw these in the middle of two other projects that I was drawing. I don't exactly know when I'll get around to coloring them offhand now though, and I was doing one of Hitsugaya too, and wanted to do one of Byakuya. I did these without really using pictures too, I need to use pictures next time..... Ichigo img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/ichigo.pngRenji img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/renji.pngUrahara img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/urahara.png

OMG Urahara. *loves Urahara* He's so awesome. And his Hat is God. Renji looks a little confused, lol. ^.^ Well, either that or as if someone said something really obvious/stupid/odd.
Overall, not perfect, but a good job considering that you were working with a mouse and without references. I'd love to see colored versions.
PS: Ichigo's hair is damn hard to draw, isn't it?? I dunno how KT does it o.0

Yeah, I always liked Urahara, even back when I didn't even know his real name and had to call him the SandalHat Guy, and I want his hat, they released it as a cosplay item, but I have no idea where to get it......
And yes Ichigo's hair is bloody hard to draw, in fact it's what I always screw up on, that's why I'm surprised I actually managed to do a decent job on it, with a mouse no less.
Rather than having no idea when I'll get around to coloring any of these since I need to finish 2 other projects and finish the line art on the Hitsugaya one and make a mighty attempt at one of Byakuya, I haven't decided on whether I want to attempt to draw those hair things (forgot the name) or not on that, I have no idea in what way I'm going to color these. Since coloring my normal way takes like 10 hours or so including all the smudging, I might opt for an easier more "cel-shaded" like way, but that depends on how one of my other projects comes out since I'm trying it out first on it.

THEY SELL HAT-SAN!?!?!?!?! OMG. I want one. Now. If you ever find them, please, PLEASE let me know. I love Hat-san. A lot. Obsessively. So much so that Hat-san ranks higher on my list of favorite characters (and my list of bishies I like o.0) than Kisuke. ...and yes, Hat-san is his own character.
I've concluded after many failed attempts that Ichigo's hair is impossible to draw and thus will simply be ignored in all future fan art. That doesn't mean I'll draw Ichigo bald; simply that I intend to not draw him.
I just finished a cel-shaded Zangetsu, actually. Although I've generally disliked cel-shading; I believe it's beginning to grow on me. At least, Zangetsu came out okay-looking. I'll probably post him sometime this week...

That is like so totally awesome o.0 I wonder if I could figure out how to make one... I've never sewn a hat before, but I am currently working on a Kisuke outfit, so I may have to if I can't find a way to get my hands on one...
Woah, Hitsu's hair looks like it wasnt to eat him o.0 And he looks waaaaay too happy *is used to seeing grumpy Hitsu* Byakuya's Kenseikan look nice, though. Especially good considering you used a plushie as a reference. How come you don't have any good pics of Byakuya? They're all over the internet.

I've never bothered to look for pictures of Byakuya, probably since the last Bleach stint I had was several months ago and it was all about Renji, which, I don't have many pictures of him either for that matter, I have mostly fanart that doesn't help too much. I don't watch the anime so my only other options are to either sift through tons of scanlations to find pictures, or go get one of my tankoubons, but I'm lazy and my room has become almost a death trap to anybody but myself due to the fact that there's A LOT of stuff in there. My Bleach tanks are behind a bunch of Fullmetal Alchemist figures and can become tricky to get out while trying to not knock over anything and balancing myself over an Xbox with Scryed and Naruto figures on it and making sure I don't topple over into either a PS2, a TV, or a lamp, thus knocking the lamp over into either a giant stack of Weeky Shonen Jump's, or a stack of Shonen GanGan's and Asuka's. I've lost the point of my ramble now....... I'd like to draw another picture of Hitsugaya, since I know his hair is weird in that one, in fact, I'd like to draw most of them again since this was the first time I had every drawn any of them, I'm still getting used to it, but my problem is that I'm over thinking it, so I mess up on it. I need to calm down and try to draw them with my normal style. But in the mean time, I have this, which when I said "cel-shading" like coloring before, I meant like this, which does take a lot less time for me to do, I also didn't really clean up this one too much since I was feeling lazy. May I direct you to Anime Galleries.Net?? That's the site I use for finding images when I need them. They have all their galleries organized by series and sub-organized by character, so you just go into Bleach>Byakuya and you'll find plenty. Manga images are toward the back, usually. My room is a disaster zone, too. Although last weekend I removed some stuff from the floor so as to clear a path to my aquarium so I could add a fishie ^.^ Isn't that a little blurry and smudgy for cel-shading? I always thought of it as having crisper lines (at least, that's what my cel-shading looks like o.0). I mean, don't get me wrong, it's an absolutely gorgeous piece, and I love the lighting - what it's lacking in cleanliness, it makes up in composition - but I'd lean toward calling it a semi-CG over a cel-shading.

Ah, when I said 'like', I really meant like, the process that I do the picture is similar to the way cel-shading is done, it's just that I smudge it and then color the line art to get a different effect, for you see, I can't cel-shade, at all. I've tried, failed, many a time. I need to try harder. But without doing serious work on cleaning up the part, I can cut my time down by like 3 hours, thus, I will not be doing a lot of real clean up work on anything at the moment. Currently, there's barely enough room in my room for someone to even sit on my floor, and theres about enough room for 2 people to stand up in it, and that's when it's CLEAN. I need to find a new place to stack magazines, and books for that matter, I ran out of shelf space, and I now don't have a place to put any new Shonen Sunday's or Shonen Magazine's, and I've also run out of room for Shonen Jump's. Damn, I'm screwed right now........ And now, Ichigo, which I actually started coloring before I even did that Urahara pic, and then left it for him, and then couldn't get the hair right, and then made it worse with glares. Spiky hair is too hard to get glares on.... Ichigo img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/ichigo-colored.jpg

Oh. Funky. Well, either way, it looks nice, so I've no complaints. Actually, I think cel-shading is a bit easier than regular CG. I mean, yeah, it takes a good ability to judge where shadows and highlights need to go, but it's a lot quicker to do. It may not look as nice, which is why I usually go with the full-CG, but whatever. Although right now I am working on a cel-shaded picture of Goku from Saiyuki for my little sister, who is a rabid Goku fangirl. SHe's threatened to murder me if it doesn't look good enough o.0'
My closet just got cleaned. o.0 By my best friend. WHo I invited over to hang out, and yet somehow she ended up totally and completely distracted and cleaned my closet o.0 it's actually... clean now. It scares me. I think I'll have to avoid it until it becomes messy again. ...However, my room is still messy, so at least I can go in there.
And my general solution to space problems: When you can't figure out where else to stick it, put it in the bathroom. Then demand that no one can use that bathroom to take a shower because the humidity is detrimental to the condition of whatever it is you're filling the bathroom with. *nods* At least, that's what I do. Fortunately, we have more than one bathroom, so we're not cut off from showering. It doesn't work so well when you only have one...
I think you made Ichigo's hair way too reddish. It should lean toward the yellow end of the oranges, not the red. Another random tip: The way you color eyes is very striking and bold, and looks nice. However, when the eye is surrounded by weak orangey lines, it looks odd. You might want to thicken those eye-area outlines and make them darker brown or maybe even black; it'll accent the eye better. I mean, don't make it look like there's six inches of eyeliner, but give it a little more accent...

My main problem with cel-shading is that I somehow screw up on the clothes and hair, although, apparently, even if I screw up on it, people still like that style more than anything else I've done, kinda makes me mad. And for some reason I am an excellent judge of shadows, and I don't know why, I'm like that with depth of field too. And you've just given me one more reason to be happy about technically being an only child. Hah. My closet was supposed to be cleaned during my winter break, since it's like 7 weeks long or something. But my parents got lazy and then I got sick, and now it has never happened. There's a lot of stuff in my closet anyway and then there's like 30 boxes from various anime merchandise all shoved in front of it haphazardly. We only have one bathroom, so I can't do that. I think I'm either going to have to resort to stacking stuff in front of my closet, which there's already a small stack of completely random magazines that looked interesting so I picked them up, or stacking them in this small alcove like area in front of my dresser that I barely use anyway, although it would eventually make it hard to get to most of my art books then, or possibly sticking them near my bed somewhere, although that would also block some stuff off..... And this is just an WIP, but it's the clean cut cel-shading style, I also went back and put in detail on the line art, which I haven't done something like this in awhile, but I like it, the crappy Jpeg blurring kinda ruins it right now though...... img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/byaWIP.jpg

Yeah, well, she may be a lunatic monkey-worshipping fashion-obsessed brat, but she's definitely the best sibling I have. At least we get along, and she's not a total pervert like my other sister... o.0 My closet would never get cleaned if it wasn't for Redheaded Being. I am allergic to anything involving the word "clean" o.0 Oh. Well, if you can't stuff stuff in the bathroom, try someone else's room. They might get a little mad, but it works. Or you could try and dangle it from a string attached to the ceiling, but that's a little more dangerous... Actually, that looks pretty nice. Although, since the hair and clothes aren't done and that's the part you said you mess up on, I really can't judge it yet. The eyes look really, really nice, though; especially with the dark outline. Keep it that way, it looks a lot better. --- And it's a bit unrelated, but HERE is a preview of the in-progress Goku picture I'm working on. I always save the eyes for last, so he's a little posessed-looking, but whatever. The cel-shading style I use is rather angular, which works on the clothes, but not as well on the skin and hair... (...and I cannot draw hands Minekura-style to save my life o.0 But my sister doesn't seem to notice, so my life is not yet endangered...)

Our house is too small for me to take over another room in, the only other bedroom is my parent's, and I'm already always in our living room because that's where my computer is. And my mom is really nit-picky about keeping the house clean since she's really obsessed with appearances, she doesn't even like that there are cords that are visible coming from my computer, as if I can do anything about it, she already thinks my room is a death trap anyway. Update! I did the hair, and actually didn't screw it up, for the most part anyway, and that makes me really happy, almost makes the burning in my eyes and the sharp pain in my back go away, almost. img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/byaWIP.jpg

Lol, I get that all the time. I'm the only one willing to spend time in my room because everyone else thinks they'll die if they stay too long ^.^'' But yeah, I tend to cling to three areas of my house - my room, my computer in the living room, and occasionally venture out into the kitchen to forage for food.
The hair looks really nice ^.^ Can't wait 'till it's finished.
*is still plugging away at that darn Goku picture* I swear, my sister is a slave driver o.0'

Well, you never clean your room or closet or any part of the house that you live in, so somebody's got to do it. At least I make a little bit of sense when I clean things and don't throw them hapazardly in some corner from which they will spread at the first chance they get.
Well she likes Goku and you said that you'd CG that picture for her, so you're stuck with it. *Shrugs* It's your fault for saying you'd do it. You've got to draw Gojyo next. You drew the other three Saiyuki guys, and you can't leave Gojyo out. That wouldn't be fair.
Storage problems? If you've got a high ceiling in your room, get some tall shelves, and if that's not an option, you can get shelves that screw right into the wall, but if you want them to hold anything with some weight, make sure you use long screws and screw them into the wall joists. That could be the wrong terminology, but what I'm talking about are the vertical pieces of wood inside your wall that you don't see, which can be found by tapping lightly on the wall with a hammer. Very lightly, mind you. You don't want to mark up the wall.

My room does have a high ceiling, but the bookcases I have can't go any higher, due to the fact I won't be able to reach anything in them if they do. And to put my space problem in a better perspective, I will tell you that I already have 5 bookcases that are already completely filled with tankoubons, a dresser that's about 4'x2' on the top stacked with magazines about 3' high on them. in between 2 bookcases there are three stacks of Shonen Jumps that are each about 5' high, then by my door there are another 2 stacks of Jump's that are about 4 and a half feet high, then next to my dresser there are 4 stacks, 2 in front of 2 more, with 2 more stacks started. You know what, screw that, I have pictures. Starts at the door and goes around to the book shelf next to the door. img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room1.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room2.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room3.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room4.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room5.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room6.jpgimg.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/room7.jpgAnd on a completely different note, I have no idea what color to make Byakuya's shirt in the picture I'm doing, I mean what would go with him other that blacks or blues, there's already too much of it in the pic itself, a navy shirt would just be too much....

I must say, thet's pretty impressive. I have no photos of my own room, but I can say that it's not as overflowed as yours. That's also quite the collection of posters ^.^
*thinks* maybe a really dark red?

Wow. Just - Wow in general. How much money have you spent on all that stuff and do you have insurance!? Shelving would cover all your pretty posters, but I think that would be your only solution. *Still can't get over the massive amount of sheer STUFF* You've got it stacked neatly but oh my god, that would drive me crazy. I compulsively clean things. And I thought I needed bookshelves ...
I agree with Asuka, a dark red would go pretty well with Byakuya.

Yeah, just about anyone and everyone is impressed with my room, whether they like anime or not. Usually I have to give them a few minutes to just look around and stare because it's so much. And I finally finished my pic. I got a little side-tracked downloading the 50 some chapters of Bleach that I was missing and then finally got back to this today.... img.photobucket.com/albums/v222/orochimaru-chan/bya-colored.jpg
