Hi Everyone. Welcome to the Artwork Board - where, as you probably figured out, you can post your artwork. It can be original, fan art, whatever. However, we do have some rules, so read them before posting here - "I didn't know" is not an excuse for breaking the rules.
The Rules: Artwork Board
1- Please do not post hentai or exceptionally explicit or graphic pictures. Please warn of anything potentially offensive in the subject of the post. Keep all art tasteful.
We DO allow:
-Shounen and Shoujo Ai (keep it clean, please)
-TASTEFUL nudity (this can include exposed breasts, but we prefer them sans nipples. If you would like to post a link to an outside source depicting an alternate version that is more explicit, you may do so).
-Skimpy outfits (just not too erotic or suggestive)
We DO NOT allow:
-Explicit or distasteful nudity
-Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, Porn, or anything rated NC-17
-depictions of genitalia, sex scenes, or sex toys
If you are unsure if something is too explicit, contact one of the mods or me to ask
2- All artwork posted is elligible to be posted on AMAW's sites. (Including Drastic, CHLOROX, ECD, Wrinboard, and any future sites we may open) We will, of course, credit you by name, and if it's visible on your profile, email address. However, if you absolutely do not want your art on our main site, add a comment first thing (as in top of the first post) in your thread and we'll respect your wishes.
3- Please keep subject matter somewhat related - we do not keep you restricted to anime/manga/games artwork, but make it something the members of this board may actually be interested in looking at. Some examples may include (but are not limited to): fantasy, digital art, book characters, animals, mecha, graphics (make cure any non-original image sources ARE CREDITED), etc.
4- Don't steal other's work. If we find out you did, we'll delete your post(s) containing the stolen material and may decide to ban you.
5-Don't insult other people's work. Constructive criticism is welcome, but no insults and flames.
6- No spamming. If you're really that desperate to post spam, we have a board for that (of course, we have no idea why we made a board for spam, but it might keep it off the rest of the site...)
7- Please do not post "art" that you did not put any effort into. Like, no stick figures drawn in paint. Doodles are fine, and we're not going to kill you if your art isn't professional quality (frankly, mine isn't, and few of us are professional artists, so we're all learning together). Just please put SOME thought into what you post
8- Please do not post non-artistic photography. If it's cosplay photography, stick it in the cosplay board, vacation pics and any photography like that goes in the off-topic board. The only photography we'll accept is the purely aesthetic, artistic kind. Note that this does not include stock images; those are for the OT board too.
9- We really prefer if you post actual images in your posts as opposed to links to your art. If it's huge and you HAVE to link elsewhere, you can make a thumbnail. We're not going to kill you for linking out, but it's not nice to the people with slow connections. If your concern is pimping your art site, DA account, or whatever, you can stick a link at the bottom of the post for interested parties to click.
10 - We also would like you to keep your posts to under ten images. It's easier for viewers to give feedback when they can easily point out the image they're commenting on - if you post a succession of links, it's a lot harder to follow.
Questions/Comments? Feel free to PM me.
