Any one heard of Utada Hikaru, Morning Musume (anything Hello! Project), Gackt, Tommy Heavenly6, Rie Tanaka, w-inds., or Do As Infinity? My personal favorite is Morning Musume

Heard of and listened to all of them, the old stuff by Morning Musume and W-inds is the best. Try B'z, Jam Project, Flow and if you can find anything Zone. If you like anything close to rap or dance techno, try M-flo and Soul'd Out.

I actually have alot of Zone on my computer, I think they disbanded last year... I've heard some M-flo remixes, they're pretty good. I only have one song of B'z (Itsuka no Merry Christmas). I just discovered Hinoi Team, they're pretty cool too!

Personally, I'm fond of BUCK-TICK, Rie Fu, and a massive collection of assorted anime soundtrack songs. I'm the sort who'll like one or two songs by a group/artist, and then be indifferent to all the others - as in, I'm not into the band loyalty concept. Good artists can make bad songs.
I don't like Morning Musume. Too squeeish and pink for me. Cutesy, I suppose, is the word I'm looking for. I can't handle that much cutesy. I do like some of Do As Infinity's music, though. Yotaka no Yume is pretty. Not to mention cute wthout being overbearingly so. I've heard of Rie Tanaka's work in Gundam SEED and Utada with that song from KH (don't like the slow version; the techno remix is better). Have listened to some Zone; wasn't terribly fond of it. I don't think they disbanded last year, though, I think it was moe in the realm of three or four years ago.
My keyboard is so broken... I swear, I'm about ready to give up on it. Too much editing required to make a simple post.

I forgot it was the year 2007 ...and depending on what generation of Morining Musume you're looking at can change the cutesy factor the first to the third generation wasn't that cutesy at all, it's when the 4th generation came it that it slowly began the cutesyness. Then they have sub-groups, you'd want to avoid Mini Moni as it was for little kids and full of super adorable cutesy stuff... you might like Tanpopo, the old Biyuuden or some of the shuffle groups though! Rie Tanaka does fabulous work, I love her Mizu no Akashi from Gundam SEED

Yeah, well, considering Morning Musume seems to change its membership once a month, I tend not to keep track.
I really think you should look up some of Rie Fu's music. You might like Decay. Maybe.

They get new members about once a year or something like that... they're only got like 8 members right now and the leader Hitomi Yoshizawa her brother got hit by a car recently about the same day Hitomi was told she would be graduating for MM (oh and their newest single comes out tomorrow!) You might like Heike Michiyo, she was the original winner of Tsunku's challenge and Morning Musume was just a back up, but MM got more popular than Heike so I think she resigned... or something like that...I'll burn a CD for you! But yeah, I have one song of Rie Fu, I'm pretty sure it's a Gundam SEED op/ed or something like that! "I WANNA GO TO A PLACE" that's what it's called... EDIT: I listened to some of her other work... she's... she sounds the same... 0.0 Her english is too good... I think I'll stick with Rie Tanaka as far as Rie's I listen to go...
