Like the title says: Mystery bruises.
Am I the only one who gets nasty bruises on various parts of my body and has no idea where they came from, no recollection of hitting myself hard enough against something to cause such a bruise?
My legs, ever since I was very little and especially in the summer, are usually covered in bruises. I get them on and around my knees, on my hips, and sometimes on my calves. These aren't your regular little bruises that are purplish-yellow and the size of a quarter, these are large, dark bruises that take a week and a half to three weeks to completely heal. They're so bad that sometimes I don't want to wear shorts because I don't want people asking me where I got such bruises, because I know they won't believe me if I tell them the truth: I have no idea.
I'm not a clumsy person. Indeed, I'm rather graceful. I don't run into things. I especially don't run into things so hard that I should get bruises that last for weeks and look more black than purple.
Where the heck do these things come from!? Do I run into things without realizing it? Do I sleepwalk into things? Have I been beating myself up in my sleep?
And, in closing, does anybody else get things like this? Random cuts or bruises that you can't explain even if you wanted to? Any ideas where these may have come from?

o.o Wow, I have something similar, but they never go away. On the inside of my thighs, there are these marks, and I have no idea how they got there.

Woo-hoo! Somebody replied! XD
That's odd. If they don't go away, maybe they're birthmarks. How long have they been there?

No, they're definately not birthmarks. And I'm not good at keeping time how long something has happened/been there, so I'm not sure. Just a looooooonnnnnnngggg time. And you're welcome for the replying..... thingy.

That's really odd, and I don't have anything to say about it to be quite honest with you. So long as they aren't electric blue and they don't start dancing the macarena, I think you'll be fine. +^^+;;

Oh....dear...
While we're on the topic of odd marks that won't go away, I have these two red spots about the size of a pinpoint on my left hand that have been there for years. I dunno what caused them, but they don't hurt or anything, so I mostly just ignore them. They're also not definitely birthmarks.
...but my little sister does have a birthmark the size of a quarter on her butt.
...and I do tend to accumulate mysterious bruises and small cuts. Not as bad as you, Redheaded Being, but still not good.

I have a funny red spot on my left hand that's been there for years as well. Somebody told me it was a burst blood vessel and it would eventually go away, but it's now been long enough so that I've forgotten who told me. And with my ridiculous memory, that's saying something.
Haha, I have a freckle shaped like a heart on my butt, but it's not that big!
I currently have an abrasion/bruise on my right arm from when I fell up the stairs early this morning! At least I know where that one came from! XD

It it pinpoint-sized? Or are they bigger red spots?
Oh dear. Interesting, but not as cool as my freckles that form the shape of the big dipper on my arm. Those are totally awesome, and you know it.
I think some of the randomly appearing bruises on my knee may be caused by the steering wheel on my car - it's at a height where it just hits my knee. But it's adjusted as far up as I can get it - darn compact car. But, nonetheless, I wubbles Shyunshin.

To add to this topic, I have a yellow-purple bruise on my hip at the moment. I noticed it this morning while getting dressed, and I don't know where that came from, either.
Also, while moving, I got huge bruises up and down my arms. One was about three inches long and an inch wide, which pretty much completely covers one side of one of my arms; I'm pretty thin. I'm not exactly sure how that happened, but I think it did while moving the larger or my two desks down the stairs. Those bruises are all healed by now.
I found another bruise that was two inches long, but very thin, on my calf last week. I have no idea where it came from, either! That one's not healed yet.
There seems to be no end to this...

I don't believe my body has been completely unbruised since before I was born.
This includes when I was born, too. I was a forceps baby; for the first two weeks of my life I had big bruises on either side of my head. Since then, it's just all gone downhill, and I just am constantly, arbitrarily bruised by unknown actions.

Redheaded Being knows this, as you've told her numerous times.

Yes, but never on the forums, where other people can read it and learn.

True. In other news, this is the bruise that was on my knee for two weeks and has since faded. I got it by stepping off a chair. It pointed straight up and was worse than it looks in this photo.

o.0 What did you do, accidentally tattoo yourself one day? I have a little red pinhead-sized spot on my wrist that's been there for years, but that's red. i.e. a normal human color.
That's it! Sath must secretly be an alien *nods*

No, I don't think so^. I get bruises on me. Some of them I remember, some of them I'm like, "Where in the world did this come from?" My mom notices my mystery brusies. Most of the time I try to guess what happend in order to see what caused it.
Since we are talking about marks on bodies, I have a scar on my right hand that has been there since I was 2 1/2 when I accidentaly dropped my glass baby bottle on the ground in Home Depot. Now I remember that one! ^.^ And I have moles on parts on my arms, face, ect. ( well not all OVER my body)

Adding: I think I was like a china doll when I was little. But I heal really fast!
