I'll take the chance at a wild guess and say that most of our members have pets. I do myself, and I love them. So this is the thread for posting raving praise (or complaints) about your pets, things they do, things they don't do, and their existence in general. If you don't like pets, or you want a pet but don't have one, you can insult them or bemoan your pet-less existence respectively here as well. These are my pets: Heidi and Opal. I apologize in advance for the fuzzy photos, but these are the only ones within easy access at the moment. Ignore the human in the backround, that's my useless cousin Ben. Heidi (the German Shepherd) is yawning, that's why she has her mouth open in such a funny manner. Opal is a yellow Lab, and oversized for her breed. Just Heidi's head. She responds to the name "Zabimaru," you know. +^_^+ I love my dogs muchly, more than I love most people, and they're fluffy lumps of hyper love. They can look like the fiercest watchdogs ever, but as long as they know a person, they're just lovable house pets. Opal thinks she's a lapdog, which can get to be a little painful when she decides to lay in your lap. She's at least 80 pounds, and steps on people. It's somewhat painful. Heidi gives hugs, knows Elvish, English, and Polish, can talk (a little), and pins people down to lick their faces to wake them up.

Meep. Pets are happy. If you think having Opal on your lap is bad, try Gus. He weighs 105 pounds. ANd he sat on my arm yeserday. He was a little too overexcited to be rescued from the kennel after we got back from NJ... And if anyone cares, I have a Doberman/German Shepherd named Gus. As well as several convicts, a frog, some hermit crabs (we just picked up two more in NJ and gave theme pedigree dog-style names ... Clam Canyon's Skydiving Wonder and Piña Colada's Grape Martini - Martin and Sky or short ), and a tree named Ed. Short for Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski V, of course. Yes V, not IV.

Ugh, a lump of pointy (because of the nails and elbows) lead. At least it's fuzzy lead.
I love the "Clam Canyon" part. It just gives me the mental image of a large canyon with giant clams sticking out of it. *Snickers*
Does Turin count as a pet? If so, I have a Mac computer named Turin Turambar Neithan Agarwaen Mormegil Gorthol who is about 2-3 years old who I love to death.

Fuzzy pointy lead? Ok, if you say so. I was thinking more along the lines of a fuzzy brick.
You don't even want to know where the phrase "clam canyon" came from.
ANd I suppose Turin can count as a pet, as he's certainly far more intelligent than most pets... and in that case, I have two pet computers names Joe and Bob. Bob is sorta in a coma, though.

Yup, fuzzy pointy lead, though bricks work, too.
Then I guess I won't ask. I will proceed to be curious, however.
Wahoo! +^_^+ I love my compy.
Where in the Abyss is my other slipper!? By the way, my slippers are not pets, but I took the left one off and now I can't find it. Am going to turn light on and look for it. *Turns on light and looks under desk* *Finds slipper* It was on my right side. WTF!? Whatever.

Well, apparently even foxes taken from their mothers when they are very little cannot be domesticated. Common sense tells me otherwise, but my vet doesn't agree with me, so I can't get a fox. They take about 7 generations to domesticate, and then they don't look or act like foxes. If I can't have a fox, I want a dog no larger than my dear Zabimaru, fuzzy, with pointy ears, and that canters. Yes, dogs canter.
My dad suggested a miniature Collie, because they have pointy ears and are fluffy and not too big. The problem with this is that they herd things, which includes people.
I thought of a German Shepherd/Husky mix, and my dad just looked at me like I was crazy. Apparently Huskies are not generally very nice dogs.
I have come up with a possible solution: A Welsh Corgi. They are small, have pointy ears, seem friendly enough, and there's the added bonus of my possibly naming it Ein (watch Cowboy Bebop). I shall have to research them first, however, to see what types of problems that particular breed has.
I seem to always have pet problems. I still want a Boa Constrictor.
Opal is afraid of hair clips. I kid you not.

My Opie (Opal) is living in Columbia now. Because my parents have broken legs and she jumps on people and lays on them, we had to let someone borrow her for awhile until my parents are healed again (they got hit by a snowplow). She may live there permanently, and while it's nice to not have dogs fighting every fifteen minutes, I do miss her. She's such a good puppy.

Sath, your icon isn't working.
And I just figured out why! You had it linked to my photobucket account, and I moved that icon into a new folder marked "Final Fantasy." I don't mind, but you'll have to go hunt it down again and put the new URL in.
I do kinda want an Ein clone... They're so darned cute and such.

Aww! She's lying under the blanket. So cute ^^ I can never get my dog to do that. How old is she?
I should, however, go update my fish thread (of DOOM) so you all know what's going on in my angelfish aquariums. I'll say this much: angelfish eggs are currently hatching in my bedroom, and I am 4 hours and one state away from said bedroom.

Aww, so she's still a baby ^.^ Cute. She looks a little like Redheaded Being's German Shephard, actually - she has the same overgrown, too-big-for-her-face ears.

Nah, Heidi's lighter than Jasmine. And cuter. +^_^+ I wubbles my puppy so much. Yes, Jasmine is cute, but it's one of those "She's mine, so she's cuter" things. Same fuzzy stare, though. Must be a German Shepherd thing.

Actually, I think Welsh corgies might be known for herding people, too ^.^ In which case, I'd rather have the collie... 'course, my mother really wants a beagle o.0 Dunno why; they drool a lot.

No problem, Sath. +^_^+
Welsh Corgis aren't bad dogs, I looked them up on some website Brian sent me awhile ago. You could tell this was awhile ago, since we're currently not speaking, but I mean a year or more ago. Haha, mop with legs. XD
Jasmine is very dark, which isn't all that unnatural, there are dark Shepherds, but she looks a little oddly-formed. It may just be the angle of the pictures, but I'd say there's a good chance of questionable breeding in her bloodline somewhere.
