Quick announcement: if anyone has size 11 to 13 (US) knitting needles that they are willing to loan to the club for our mad scarf-knitting purposes, even if they do not want to knit themselves, please bring them.
Generally speaking, we're still seeking people to knit stuff with us for our upcoming fundraising efforts this fall. We want to get to that convention, so we'd love it if you could chip in in one of the following things.
1 - make things to sell. Obviously a bonus; we supply materials (yarns, threads, etc). 2 - make friendship bracelets (we can teach you if you don't know but are willing 3 - come to the sales to help out (we'll give you hours when the time comes) 4 - tell your friends, family, random strangers, etc. to show up and buy stuff. 5 - bake cookies. We may or may not be able to sell them, but even if we can't, they help sustain us in our knitting endeavours. 6 - think of alternative venues. Eventually, every six-year-old will have a boa scarf, so we'll have to move someplace else or come up with alternative craft ideas. 7 - don't make noise during club while we're trying to discuss fundraising ^^ It's one of my pet peeves.
I'll be posting more information later today on club rules, library stuff, etc, so check back then.

Could we do a Raffle of some sort Recycle for a Profit Ask an area business to save their plastics, glass, and aluminum for the weekend. Offer to pick it up early Monday morning and take it to the Recycling Center. Balloon Pop Have a prize for whoever pops the special balloon. Charge a fee to pop a balloon, in each balloon include a fact about your club or organization. Those ideas found here www.plu.edu/~sil/clubs-organizations/fund-raising.htmlAs far as the Recycle for Profit thing goes, if we can get our members to bring in Soda cans then we have a special bag to put them in, then someone cleans them and recycles them and we can get 5 cents per can! Random ideas...

Soda cans would be neat - or just have a can & bottle drive in general, ask everyone in the school, parents, etc. to contribute. It would be a little more worthwhile if the cans were worth more than 5 cents, but we can try.
Not sure anyone in our school will pay to pop a baloon, though. They rather lack the spirit and enthusiasm, as proved by homecoming -.-'

Speaking of fundraising, when does the sale begin during lunch shifts? I have first shift for fifth period lunches, and I just need to know when to help. I'm just asking 'cause I saw Asuka, Michelle, and others setting up the display as I walked back to my classroom from third shift lunch after period six. Thanks! ~~Sonya

actually, it already started. I don't have time to go into the details right now (slept in this morning), but we are selling stuff all this week and we desperately need someone to cover 2nd lunch period 6, if you know anyone who has that lunch.

Eck... I'm sorry, I can't help with that. I don't know anyone who goes to lunch at that time. However, I'll try to show up during first shift next time I can. Sorry! I didn't know that this was going on because no one posted the times up here.

Yeah, I tried to get it out by word of mouth, butI think the real problem the last two days was that Redheaded Being was scheduled for first and second lunches fifth period before she knew she was going to be in W. Virginia, and then everyone else sort of fell apart. Dedication is a hard thing to cme by these days...

I don't really think so, I just think you need to make sure everyone is listening and understand that it really doesn't involve alot of work on their part...

Sorry I disappeared, but I didn't really have much say in the matter and would rather have been here anyway.
