Saiyuki Icon Set (40 Icons)

Well, since I've pretty much been making nothing but Bleach and s-CRY-ed icons, I figured I'd try something new. So I've moved on to my third-favorite series, Saiyuki.

Thus, I present you with 40 Saiyuki icons, 8 of each of the guys and 8 others.

Notes:
2: Lyrics from "Stray" from the Wolf's Rain soundtrack. One of those songs with lyrics that are good for icon making, regardless of what series they're from.
3, 8, 22, 32: Lyrics from "Time" by Hootie and the Blowfish. It was the song I was listening to while I was making most of these. And again, the lyrics lend themselves well to icon making.
4, 5: I forgot what the tiny text said. But I can assure you, it was very meaningful *nods*
14, 15: Quote from The Little Prince. The image, also, is an allusion to the book. I made these two at the request of my little sister, who is obsessed with both Goku and The Little Prince. She practically died of sheer glee when she saw the picture for the first time o.0
25, 26: Couldn't decide which variation I liked better, so you get both
34: This was quote from me and Redheaded Being (Vulpes on the forums) being all sad-like over how ugly they made Chin Yisou look in the anime. We were also very sad when he died. He's our favorite cute psychopathic maniac
37: Sorry the image is a little blurry; it was the only version of it I had. It's Yaone, if you can't tell.

Believe it or not, and it must be because we think similarly and have been around each other too long, I could tell. That and I'm the most Gojyo-obsessed person you know. Indeed, I think I'm going to change my icon to #28 or 32. I'm not sure which yet.

gah, sorry, I meant 32. I just carried the 8 over from 28. But you probably knew that already -.- Stop giving me grief for being stupid. I'm a stupid person. Get over it. To me, US History and East Asian Cultures are the same class (although I like the latter a heck of a lot more).

And yes, Redheaded Being, you can kill someone alive. For example, you could kill their brain - you know, make them braindead - but they could still be alive.

Wait, Saiyuki is only your third favorite series? *Pause* TRAITOR! You shall not like Bleach more than Saiyuki! Saiyuki is far more awesome than BLeach! Yes, Bleach is awesome, but Saiyuki is simply so much better! It is far more detailed and hilarious, the art is prettier, there is a wider range of characters, and they're closer to being anatomically correct! (Rangiku, Orihime, etc.) AND THERE ARE PROBABLY MORE EPISODES! There are more cool extras for Saiyuki! BLAR!

Ooooh, ok, that's what I thought you meant, but I wasn't sure. Your brain works in strange ways, and you could have been thinking of me while making a Kougaiji icon because Kougaiji and I both have red hair that needs to be braided (my hair is being an evil mess today), both of us yell, and we both end up almost-dying at random times!
I can't not give you grief for being stupid. I'm the only one who points it out and if no one points out your flaws to you, then there's a good chance you won't ever notice them, and you won't be able to correct something you don't notice. I am doing you a service.

*poke* Well, too bad. I like Bleach better! Saiyuki is quite awesome, but frankly, it never seems to get anywhere. The characters are all wonderful (except Dokugakuji... who needs to die...) and all, but it's kinda just this neverending road trip, and they do the same things over and over again. Seriously, how many times has Sanzo threatened to kill Goku or Gojyo? How many times has Gojyo his on a random girl? How many times has Goku gone crazy over food? How many depressing flashbacks have they had? I love Saiyuki dearly, but it lacks a certain something that would make it my favorite (after s-CRY-ed, of course, which is my all-time fave). Bleach, however, at least gets somewhere. And the Saiyuki cast is no more closer to being anatomically correct. They're scrawny as hell -.-' So they don't have boobs the size of Manhattan (frankly, I'd be scared if they did o.0 *bad mental images*). Doesn't mean they're any closer to anatomical accuracy

And you know I'm never going to fix my mistakes, anyway, so there's really no point in bothering me over them. East Asian Cultures and U.S. History might as well be the same. They're both social studies courses, they're both interesting, and equally easy to pass. And may rabid guppies consume your soul for eternity for giving my grief over my verbal mishaps ( <-- Asuka has a new curse !!! )

Yes, it's repetative, yes, they never seem to get anywhere, and yes, there's tons of flashbacks. But I'm so completely fond of the series and the characters (even if I sometimes want to slap them silly) that it has engraved itself - so to speak - into my list of favorites. Dokugakuji does indeed need to die. Where'd he get that name from anyway? Bleach not only gets somewhere, it goes all over the place. All over Karakura, the surrounding area, Hueco Mundo (spelling?), Senreitei, and so many other random places. I wonder how many miles Ichigo and crew have run/walked?
Saiyuki is actually closer to being anatomically correct. It's easier for someone to be as scrawny as the Saiyuki guys then have breasts as big as those in Bleach. (No, the Saiyuki guys should NOT have boobs! That's just scary.) Example: My dad. He's about as thin as the Saiyuki boys. Not as thin as Sanzo in that messed-up episode we watched, that was animation gone horribly wrong.

Some mistakes have to be fixed. LIKE THE ONE IN THAT SENTANCE! That's supposed to be "...giving me grief over my verbal mishaps ..."
Asuka, I don't have a soul, remember? The guppies therefore couldn't consume it if they tried.

And I laugh that you were worried over the spelling of Hueco Mundo, which is correct, and not of Sereitei, which does not have an N in it

Well, as long as people point out my mistakes, then I can fix them! I can't very well fix something if I do not know that it is broken.
