Okay, so somewhere in the course of the Connecticon, I ordered this lineart print from Craig Enslin ( Website). I got it in the mail earlier today (with numerous amusing "do not bend" stamps on the envelope), and had previously asked him if he minded if I scanned and colored it (obviously he said he didn't mind, or I wouldn't be making this post ^.^) Thus, I have finished coloring this lovely inking of a dragon and his master. Looking for feedback on the coloration, of course, and I'm sending the link to this to Craig, so if you want to say something about his lineart, I'm sure he'll get to read it. I probably should have shaded the rocks more. Must now go and color the thousand inkings of assorted doodles done in the library today. I never knew volunteer work could be so good for getting inking work out of the way o.0' On the other hand, I might just go crash because I'm tired. Or oekaki something. Maybe. Ever notice how my art posts seem to be more like blog entries with a picture attached? I should probably do something about that (and no, Redheaded Being, I will not post in my Livejournal. Never, I say!).

POST THEM IN YOUR LJ ANYWAY, YOU LAZY BUM OF LAZINESS!
The rocks are too smooth, as I told you. Rocks are rarely nice and smooth and sweeping like that, they're generally mottled and such, at least around here. Your colour choice is good, nice and earthy and such and it melds well without blending together. The red makes his eyebrows show up nicely.
As for the lineart, the dragon's wingpoints are too thick. What I mean is that the points of his wings where the little claws are. They're a bit too chunky. Actually, the wings themselves are too thick and cumbersome and look like the dragon would never fly.

NO. NO WAY IN HELL. AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.
It's in a cave. Caves have dripping water. Dripping water smooths rocks. WHo says that it's around here anyway? last time I checked, there were no caves full of dragons in CT. I more regret not shading the rocks more heavily, being a cave, it needs more darkness *nods*

YES WAY IN... PURGATORY. WHICH IS WHERE WE HEATHENS SHALL END UP.
Not all caves have dripping water, though. Some of them are quite dry, and a dragon wouldn't choose a damp cave for his home. Asuka, since when have you willingly gone anyplace around here? There could be a dragon living in a cave down the road from you and you'd never notice so long as it never flew over your house, you lazy bum.
