Wow, no one's talking about Saiyuki? How could you, you people? Saiyuki is GREAT. GREAT, do you get it? Oh, Reload Gunlock 2 exists, that it does. Just because you can't find it doesn't mean it is mythical. Gensoumaden Saiyuki and it's counterparts contain some of the absolutely most attractive anime guys in existence. IT IS TRUE. The storyline is pointless but amusing, character development is some of the best I've ever seen if not THE best, the art is beautiful (even if the manga needs a bit of censoring because a lot of the female villans don't seem to like to wear shirts), the guys are sexy, and it's bloody and violent. Did I mention the guys are sexy? +^,-,^+ Yum. And I think everyone who prefers guys could find one to their liking in Saiyuki.
9 Gensoumaden Saiyuki manga, 51 (I think) anime episodes. Then there's Saiyuki Reload, Saiyuki Reload Gunlock, Saiyuki Reload Gunlock 2, and Saiyuki Gaiden. There's a lot to watch, read, and enjoy.
There are some filler episodes in the anime that are pointless and somewhat painful to one's eyes, and a few of them are funny as heck, like the drinking contest episode, and the one with Lirin's minions. Then there's the one with the imposter group. Homura isn't even in the manga! They just stuck him, Zenon, and Shien in the anime as a huge filler arc. Some cool stuff happens, but ti's really pointless. And the goddess of mercy isn't even a goddess. "She" is a hermaphrodite. Why Kazuya Minekura decided this, I do not know, but it makes for some awkwardness and funny expressions. And "she" kisses Gojyo and sucks out some of his blood for a transfusion when Sanzo gets badly injured. The problem with that is Gojyo's blood type is B, and Sanzo's is A. The combination would have just clotted and killed Sanzo right then and there. But this is Saiyuki, and nothing works like it is supposed to. "The morals, physics, and societies of Saiyuki are so skewed that to be able to enjoy the series you have to either ignore them or simply decide you don't care." -From my all-time favorite Saiyuki review from sleepisfortheweek.com that I printed out and nearly memorized. And they're right.
Saiyuki's pretty screwed up. The Sha family alone has enough issues to fill an insane asylum and then some. Most, if not all, the characters have psychological problems.

Wow. that's a very long and somewhat pointless rant... i like it. And you're absolutely right about just about everything. Except the Sha family. They have enough issue to fill twelve insane asylums... 'tis true.

Sometimes long and pointless rants are the best kind! Especially in the early hours of the morning when you're mostly brain-dead and can't think of anything intelligent to say. Like now.
12 of them, eh? I guess you could just be right. Though I think it's mostly the Dokugakuji factor. Maybe we can send him to therapy? And send the ghost of his mother to therapy as well, for all the good it'll do. No wonder Gojyo's so twisted; he grew up with those weird people.

Ungubally! Redheaded Being, what are you doing being awake a 4 AM again? Get some sleep, jeez!
Wow. I just got the worst idea ever for a mini game where there are like insane asylums and little chibi Sha family members and you get points for grabbing them and throwing the Shas into the asylum.... Dokugaku being worth the most points, of course...

I don't sleep at night in the summer, remember? +^_^+ And besides, I slept during the day.
Oh. My. GODS. XD That is a great idea. Somewhat twisted, but absolutely hilarious. We'd have to figure out what Gojyo's actual parents look like first, in order to be able to make chibis out of them. ...Wow, a Dokugakuji chibi would be SCARY.
Where do you think the original issues came from anyway? A grandparent? Great-grandparent? And what were they? Or is it just that Gojyo inherited his- er, how to phrase this- tendancy to sleep around from his father, and his stepmom was just very easily scarred/corrupted? `Cause I think that would mess the Dokugakuji and Gojyo up enough, I think. Actually, I think quite a few of Gojyo's problems are just because of his outlook on things and the fact that he's a Scorpio. *Whacks Mars*

Well, I'll leave you to trace back the insanity in the Sha family line while I try and find a way to make a game. You think Flash would do it? Nah, probably not. But who knows, game scripting isn't exactly my area of expertise...
The Arbol's a Scorpio and she's not that messed up... although she might be...

XD Hah, I think too much, I guess. But it is something I'd like to know, along with what the heck happened to Hakkai's parents, how old he was when they died, and if he was really little, then how did he know he had a sister? I guess the nuns told him. The biggest question of all: WHY WERE THEY PLANNING ON GETTING MARRIED!? You would think that Hakkai would have more sense than that. ...But maybe we don't want to know.
I don't know much about Flash, but you could try it. As for game scripting, don't look at me, I know nothing at all about it. At least, I don't think I do.
I'm a Scorpio, too. And no, she's not that messed up because she didn't grow up with the Sha family. (Who would want to?) Scorpios are prone to what I once heard referred to as the "Scorpio Blacks," or a period of time ranging between 15 minutes to a few days in which the person is in a particularly black mood and can't be shaken from it. They're also known for their sex drives. +x.x+' (Just my luck, to be lumped in with that.) Scorpios are also extremely stubborn and tend to be a little more scathing with their speech then they mean to be; or just plain blunt. They are sometimes prone to ego trips, are sometimes rather power-hungry, are very intense, and want things just so. I used to be really into astrology, and I paid most attention to my own horoscope, so I've gathered a lot of information over time. +^^+;;

Dude, Redheaded Being, that description sounded more like me -.-' Except the sex drive part... and I'm not a Scorpio...
Which just goes to show how little faith I put into astrology. As well as palm reading. Seriously, it kind of loses its effect when you have two lifelines and everyone has a different interpretation of that.
Meep. Hakkai's parents probably died when he was fairly young, seeing as he couldn't have been more than maybe ten in that insert episode in volume 9... however, I would guess that he was at least old enough to remember his sister, even if it was vague. So...maybe when he was five-ish?

Really? +o.o+' And you're a . . . Capricorn? I think? I don't know much about Capricorns `cept that they're often frugal. Like I said, I didn't pay much attention to a lot of signs.
Bah, I don't believe in palm reading at all, but it's amusing as heck when you're told somebody's gonna try to murder you. +^_^+ Astrology can be right sometimes, but often isn't, so I just play with it.
Must . . . read . . . volume . . . nine . . . +o.o+ *Vreen* Five sounds about right I guess. He was one creepy-looking little kid, though! They also never tell us where she was, how long it took him to find her, and what happened in the meantime. There's the same gap with Goyjo. With Sanzo and Goku, however, we pretty much know what happened. Sanzo wandered around and killed stuff while Goku was yelling into his brain, then he freed Goku and they ended up living at Chang'an. I think I spelled that correctly.

Aquarius, Redheaded Being, Aquarius. I was born late January...
I was referring to volume 9 of the anime, but yes, I must buy volume 9 of the manga as well. Problem is, I'm broke... and I may have to buy a new iron...
Yes, well, what do you want from them, Redheaded Being? A detailed 600-page lifelong biography for all of the characters?

Drat. I always get those two signs confused! Just the placement of them. Myur. Being broke sucks. There's nothing wrong with your iron! I saw it! It looks fine! Ok, so maybe it needs some more cleaning, but that's it. It stil operates, right? So who cares?! Well . . . Yes! Then we know what happened to them before, and why they act they act they do! That would be incredably interesting!

Cory's a Capricorn, I think. I figured it out at one point, but semi-forgot.
The song "Cry Little Sister" from The Lost Boys Soundtrack has a line in it that says: "My Shangri-la, I can't forget ..." Blah blah blah. Who cares about the person's Shangri-la. The most important thing is that he mentioned something vaugely related to Saiyuki, and that makes Redheaded Being happy! +^_^+

You truly are an odd duck...
Isn't "Cry Little Sister" the song that was made into a fairly popular Hiei & Yukina AMV?
And what on Earth happened to our deeply intellectual discussion of Saiyuki?

Hehe! Everyone calls me that. Its probably true, too. I call myself a duck.
And yes, that is the song they used. I've got to find that one, in fact. I've only heard of it.
Oh, that conversation died awhile ago in favor of songs and astrology, which is nothing more than so much crap, but amuses me regardless. I wonder if we could revive it ...

I've seen that AMV... once, awhile ago... I think it might still be saved on Bob, who is a broken compy, as we all know. Ummm...Saiyuki....Saiyuki.... I know! I had a dream last night where Dokugakuji died because our school exploded and killed a bunch of people, including my clones, except I lived and then I rescued you, only I somehow got shot in the leg, but I miraculously healed in like a day and people called me names :S Okay, I don't think that was a successful revival. Off to school I go

I heard about it on someone's ff.net bio, and I've thought about looking for it on and off ever since. You can see how far this has gotten me. Poor Bob. *Pats Bob*
+o.o+' ...You so made that up on the spot. You just don't like Dokugakuji or school, so you figured: "Hey, I can kill both with one explosion!" What was he doing in our school anyway? And clones of you would scare me.

Actually, the scary thing is, I didn't make that up on the spot 0.o And he was really there. I dunno why. And I really did have clones. Three of them died in the explosion and I was all like, "Oh well, I'm sure there's more where those came from!"
It was creepy o.0 Even more creepy than the dream where Ed Elric was a pirate living on an island with this dormant volcano-turned-hotsprings and some random girl showed up and wanted to marry him so he locked her up in the hotsprings but she got out 0.o
